“Portrait of a Chinese Girl” is a contemporary reinterpretation of a 1980s gouache portrait by Zettl. Originally depicting a PLO girl, this new version, crafted with the aid of two graphics programs including an AI-supported one, adopts a poster-like style. It playfully engages with the aesthetics of its era while presenting them in a modern light.
